The Chinese Ambassador to Maldives H.E. Mr. Wang Fukang attends the ceremony for the inauguration of the China-Maldives Police service Seminar

The China-Maldives Police Service Seminar, to be held in China, has been inaugurated at a ceremony at Iskandar Koshi on Monday night.

Speaking at the ceremony, Commissioner of Police Hussain Waheed said that 20 senior officers of Maldives Police Service will attend the seminar which will be held from 10 to 23 April in Shanghai, China.

Commissioner Waheed said that he hoped that the seminar would help train and improve the competence of local police officers to the standard of Chinese police officers.

Chinese Ambassador to Maldives Wang Fukang said while speaking at the ceremony that the seminar would strengthen relations between the two countries.

The ambassador also noted that Chinese tourists visit Maldives in large numbers every year, and thanked local police for their services to ensure protection and security of tourists.
