On 30th January 2014, the Chinese Ambassador to Maldives H.E. Mr. Wang Fukang paid a courtesy call on the Maldivian Minister of Youth and Sports, Honourable Mr. Maleeh Jamal. The Deputy Minister Mr. Abdulla Rifau also participated in the meeting.
Ambassador Wang said that China attaches importance on developing youth, sports and cultural exchanges with the Maldives, and hopes that through such cooperation, both sides could enhance understanding and friendship between the two peoples and expand the bilateral exchanges.
Minister Maleeh introduced the works of Youth and Sports Ministry to the Ambassador, and stated that the current government of the Maldives will prioritise on the employment and development of youth, hopes to actively develop cooperation and exchanges with China, and would welcome Chinese Youth Delegation to visit the Maldives.
