As a student of Naval Medical University in Shanghai, Ibrahim Aslam has lived and studied in China for over 5 years. Witnessing China’s rapid development and transformative changes, Aslam was shocked and eager to explore the reason behind China’s remarkable achievement – Communist Party of China.

To better understand CPC’s history, Aslam visited the Site of First National Congress of the CPC in Shanghai. After a sight tour of the historical sites in his favorite Chinese TV Series The Awakening Age and attending exhibits of the sites, Aslam saw how and why China becomes a great nation.

Aslam was inspired by spirits of the early CPC pioneers to realize their dreams of founding the new China. He quoted Youth written by Li Dazhao to pay tribute to them “with the youthful self to create the family, the country, the nation, the humanity, the earth and the universe of youth.”

Meanwhile, five years of living experience in Shanghai imprints deep love and comprehensive impression of China in Aslam’s mind. Immersed in this metropolis of history and modernity, Aslam is attracted by the unique charm of Chinese culture and China’s openness and inclusiveness.

Aslam also spoke highly of current China according to what he has observed in daily life. He’s convinced that Chinese people enjoy extensive democratic rights. They can voice their opinions through various channels. All ethnic groups respect and love each other, building a nation of peace, harmony and happiness.
