Health & Medical Cooperation has always been a crucial area of China-Maldives relations, which has brought tremendous benefits to our two countries and peoples.

During the historic state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Maldives, the two sides signed an MoU to enhance health cooperation, which was followed by the implementation of a series of cooperation projects.

On October 12th, 2016, the inauguration ceremony of the reception hall of the Ministry of Health renovated by the Chinese side was held. The renovated hall has significantly improved service and quality of Ministry of Health. 

On November 7th, 2016, the Chinese Embassy donated digital color doppler machines to @igmhmv. As a gift for 50th Maldives Independence Day, the machines helped Maldivian people get accurate diagnosis and better medical services.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China & Maldives diplomatic relations. China has been and will always be ready to work with Maldives in promoting health & medical cooperation.
